where did april go?

I promise, dear readers, to get back to the drawing soon. I have big plans ahead, but in the meantime, perhaps you might enjoy the origin story of later comics.

A year ago, almost to the day, I finished my undergraduate thesis paper on Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. This popular book is alternately described as the most depressing thing even and a heart-warming tale of a father and son. It is the natural progression of McCarthy’s brutal anti-heroic Westerns and yet somehow also part of  Oprah’s Book Club. This book already attracts much critical attention, and soon (maybe) it will be a movie.

I figure I should get my word in now. I have much to say about journeys, metaphors, optimism, and pessimism. And more…
